Synopsis: In Act Your Age, Eve Brown the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard—literally.
Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong—so she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding (someone had to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It’s time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she’s not entirely sure how…
Jacob Wayne is in control. Always. The bed and breakfast owner’s on a mission to dominate the hospitality industry—and he expects nothing less than perfection. So when a purple-haired tornado of a woman turns up out of the blue to interview for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car—supposedly by accident. Yeah, right.
Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help. Before long, she’s infiltrated his work, his kitchen—and his spare bedroom. Jacob hates everything about it. Or rather, he should. Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else. Like Eve, the heat between them is impossible to ignore—and it’s melting Jacob’s frosty exterior. (Goodreads)

Act your age, Eve Brown is the third book in the Brown sisters books. I love these books so much and they are one of my all time favorites. I was so excited for Eve Brown and I’m so glad I loved it just as much as I had expected to.
The Plot and Story
The story for this book follows Eve Brown, the youngest Brown sister. Eve Brown hasn’t been able to settle in a proper career choice yet due to which she keeps on changing from one thing to another. This time her parents give her an ultimatum to find a job and stick with it for a year to prove herself. This is how she ends up in a Bed and Breakfast with whose owner she gets in a cross with immediately. Jacob Wayne is the owner of a Bed and Breakfast and he is always in control and doesn’t like anything being out of place or plan but Eve Brown comes and wrecks that. Instant enemies to reluctant colleagues to friends to lovers, this story will make you laugh and smile wide at the beautiful moments of Eve and Jacob.
I loved the humorous dialogues and the supporting characters and it just felt so fun! It puts a smile on your face. There is no boring moment and it will keep you interested throughout. I was listening to the audiobook and I truly think that the audiobooks only make the enjoyment of this book better. I would highly recommend the audiobook for this one.
The Characters and Romance
Eve Brown was an amazing character. Her passion for life is beautiful to read about and her inner dilemma of trying to find what she likes is relatable. Jacob is autistic and Talia handles that part of his personality so well. I did love Eve’s character a little more because she was so fiery and you can’t help but love her. Jacob was great though and I loved how awkwardly hilarious he was. The romance is absolutely endearing filled with smiles and bickering moments and I-hate-you-and-you’re-beautiful-face. Their dynamic was beautiful and it was fireworks right from the first moment they met. It was sexy, witty, banter filled with awkward moments and lots of laughs.
The Brown Sister romance books are my favourite. They’re all filled with so much warmth and love and laughs. It was swoon-worthy and healthy relationships and it’s interesting right from page one. I highly recommend these books and if you manage to get the audiobooks, I’m sure you’ll love it more!
Overall, Act Your Age, Eve Brown was amazing with beautiful characters, swoon-worthy romance and so many adorable moments. If you’re looking for an adult romance which is equal parts sexy and witty and fun, then you must read Act your Age, Eve Brown. The Brown sisters books are instant serotonin books and I cannot praise them enough!
