Synopsis: Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases — a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.
It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice — with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan — from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…
Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he’s making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic.
Review: The Kiss Quotient is an ownvoices romance novel with an autistic and Asian protagonist which I really loved because I haven’t read many novels with such good representation. The story, the characters and the plot were very interesting and beautiful. The author has written this book so well that it will be very difficult to put the book down once you start.
The writing was the best part especially of Stella as it was so real and you actually find out what an autistic person goes through and it was just a really good reading experience for me. I loved Michael’s character just as much and it was fun to read all the scenes between them. It had the perfect balance between cute and steamy. Stella was an economics and math lover and her smartness really made me love her character even more.
It also portrays really beautifully the importance of consent. It explores healthy family dynamics and most importantly the good representation makes this a very important book. So if you want to read a book which is romantic, sexy and beautiful and keeps you smiling throughout , The Kiss Quotient is the perfect book.
