The Mid Year Freakout Tag

Hii Guys!! Can you believe there’s only a week left for June and we’re already halfway through the year ?! I saw this tag around and really wanted to do it! So here we go:

Best book you’ve read so far

Legendary by Stephanie Garber which was just amazing and you read my review here. A thousand perfect notes by C.G.Drews is another one of my favourites. (review here)

The best sequel you’ve read so far in 201

Legendary and A Court of frost and starlight were the absolute amazing sequels I read this year.

New release you haven’t read yet but want to

Circe by Madeline Miller, Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody and there are many others but these ones I really want to read soon.

Most anticipated release for the seond half of the year

Wildcard by Marie Lu, Kingdom of Ash by Saraj J Mass and A thousand beginnings and endings are some which I am really excited about. There are some really great books releasing in the coming months so I am hoping I get to read most of them!!

Biggest disappointment

The Princess saves herself in this one by Amanda Lovelace. I had expected a lot from the book but it just didn’t strike the right chord with me. You can read my review here.

Biggest surprise

Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli is one of the biggest surprises because I did not expect to love it as much I did. Also, The Astonishing Color of After was a beautiful surprise.

Favourite new author

V.E.Schwab has hands down become my favourite. I love her world building and writing and Shades Of Magic was one of my favourite reads of this year so far.

Newest fictional crush

Kell from Shades of Magic. He is just so good and well written. I just love his chracter a lot!!! ( Picture taken from Shades of Mgic wiki )

Newest favourite character

I love Zelia from Children of Blood and Bone and also Alosa from Daughter of the Pirate King duology!

Book that made you cry

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness was a heartbreaking and touching book which got me really emotional.

A book that made you happy

Daughter of the Pirate King duology mde me really happy. It was such a fun book with fun characters and it was a great reading experience. Red my review here.

The most beautiful book you’ve bought this year

The Complete first edition-The original folk and fairy tales of the brothers Grimm

What books do you need to read by the end of the year ?

I want to read all V.E.Scwabb books, Illuminae series and Sabaa Tahir’s books!!

Favourite book community member

I really like all of them so much. I would love to mention Kathy @Books and Munches who is an amazing blogger and I have been following her since the very start and I love her posts a lot! Also Holly @ Nut Free Nerd and Lily @ Sprinkles of dreams are also my favourites and blogger goals :)!!

I tag all of you to join me in the mid year freak out tag!!

  1. ahhh i love your answers, I also am obsessed with Daughter of the Pirate King/Illuminae. Also, if you weren’t quite feeling amanda lovelace’s first book, try her follow up, the witch doesn’t burn in this one. I liked it wayyyyyy more than princess!
